PRODUCING LEARNING RESOURCES USING TECHNOLOGY TOOLS

WHAT IS THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE TOPIC TO YOU AS A FUTURE?

Honestly, this kind of topic in education helps me a lot in discovering new skills, especially using technology in education.  Since I am a future Elementary educator,  the topic of producing learning resources using technology tools to create learning topics for elementary pupils can enhance engagement, cater, to diverse learning styles, and promote critical thinking. In this current situation of education there are a lot of learning styles there are pupils who are visual, auditory, linguistic, and kinesthetic learners who need to identify what are their type. Because of technology, allows us to incorporate interactive and multimedia, making lessons more dynamic,  and appealing to young minds. Additionally, integrating technology prepares pupils for the digital age,  fostering essential skills they'll need in the future.

CITE SOME OF THE PRACTICES OF THE TEACHERS IN THE GENERATION THAT YOU THINK ARE NO LONGER APPLICABLE TO THIS GENERATION.

  • Limited Integration of Real-world Context
  • Passive Learning
  • Limited Resource
In this era of the digital age education is one of the institutions adopting technology in teaching. Some practices of early teachers are no longer applicable in this generation in terms of learning strategies and approaches. In early education where instructors as the primary source of information and limited resources, they rely on textbooks and few teaching aids. Today, technology provides a wealth of educational resources enabling more dynamic and diverse teaching methods. Those are practices of teachers are as longer applicable in this generation but they would help us as an alternative only when technology tools are not available.

WHAT ARE THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE 21Sst CENTURY TEACHERS THAT YOU THINK YOU ALREADY POSSESS?

There are some characteristics of 21st century teacher but I guess I already possess some of them including learner, futurist, exemplar and collaborator because as future educator I am still learning. I want to challenge myself to learn beyond the usual and should be lifelong learners. Another characteristic is being a futurist, I see myself as digital literate because I have skills in using technology in education it is advantage to me to deliver the to my future pupils. However, it is not just about having a good skill and knowledgeable about topic but also as future educator I can be a role model when it comes to behavior to my pupils for them to be able to collaborate with each other children.

ASIDE FROM KNOWING SOME OF THE CHARACTERISTICS OF A 21st  CENTURYY TEACHER, WHAT ELSE SHOULD BE LEARNED BY YOU AS FUTURE EDUCATORS?

As a future educator knowing the characteristics of a 21st century teacher help me to identify the importance of learning my field and my specific skill. There are a lot of things that unfamiliar with me like understanding the diverse learning, financial management, and things that beyond my control. It is important that I learn this kind of thing because I am a future educator it is expected that I know how handle everything. Furthermore, continuous professional development and staying abreast of educational research and best practices are essential for providing quality education.

WHAT DO YOU THINK ARE THE REASONS WHY THE APPROACH SHOULD CHANGE FROM  TEACHER-CENTERED TO STUDENT-CENTERED.

As a far as I can be remember, the traditional approach to education has long been teacher-centered, with the instructor being the primary source of knowledge and authority in the classroom. However, there is a growing recognition that this approach should change to more  student-centered model. In the student-centered approach promotes active learning. Instead of passively receiving information from the teacher, in this approach students are encouraged to engage in critical thinking, problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaboration. Furthermore, a student-centered approach acknowledges that each student is unique and has different learning needs and empowers students to  become lifelong learners.

THE IMPORTANCE OF LESSON PLAN

According to my research, a lesson plan is a detailed outline or guide created by educators to structure and systematically organize their teaching activities. It typically includes objectives, content, instructional strategies, assessment methods, and a timeline for a specific lesson or unit of instruction. The question is what is the importance of lesson plans and how could they help us as future educators?

As far as I can tell, lesson plans play a vital role in education, many of us complain about it because there is another burden that we need to do, we have to make lesson plans to organize our lessons and we're guided by what will be going to do if we're in the field. Honestly, in making a lesson plan we need to think about how's it going, we need to highlight all the importance and need to organize it well to have a smooth lesson. The importance of a lesson plan personally guides me on how to start my lesson, how I set my content in a better way, and by step-by-step process when I am in my field, I'm grateful that my school offered this kind of opportunity to have experience in making lesson plan, it's a training ground for us as future educators to know lesson plan.

It helps a lot when it comes to organizing the content of a subject, time management, adaptation, resource planning, alignment, clarity,  etc, to achieve a better way of teaching process. I believe that lesson plan can give us another way of reflection through out the day.

Understanding the Beauty of Curriculum

 understanding the beauty of curriculum

A curriculum's capacity to offer a well-organized and comprehensive foundation for learning is what makes it so beautiful. It enables people to learn and develop in a methodical way, ensuring that they lay a solid foundation before moving on to more difficult subjects. A well-designed curriculum also takes various learning requirements and styles into account, making education accessible to a variety of students. In the end, a strong curriculum encourages inquiry, fosters critical thinking, and helps students get ready for opportunities in the future.

The key components of a curriculum are extremely important in determining the educational experience and its applicability in the fast-paced world of today. A well-designed curriculum should be learner-centric and take into account the various requirements, interests, and aptitudes of pupils. This guarantees that education is not universal and takes into account different learners' objectives and learning preferences.

As future elementary educators it is important that we know what curriculum is. Teacher knows the curriculum especially when he/she in the field. It necessary to have a knowledge when it comes to curriculum, because it helps us to teach the learner easily when we our guided. Additionally, curriculum's relevancy is crucial. It ought to take into account new information, societal developments, and technology developments. This guarantees that students have current, appropriate information and skills for use in real-world situations. Graduates may not be adequately equipped for the problems of the current world if the curriculum is not relevant. Interdisciplinary learning is also incorporated into a successful curriculum. It promotes critical thinking and problem-solving skills by encouraging the integration of multiple subjects and abilities. This multidisciplinary approach promotes holistic learning and reflects the interdependence of real-world problems.

A curriculum needs to be adaptable and sensitive to changing circumstances and requirements. The effectiveness of education is ensured by this adaptability even as the world changes. Since I'm a future elementary educators I need to emphasize the beauty of teaching to my class, is not just about how you teach but also you know how to be a person that have a heart to your pupils. I know being a teacher is not easy you should be resourceful. Being a teacher is not just about teaching the lesson, there are some feature that consider meaningful or appreciate that every kid is different and has a different speed and way of learning. Create lessons that are specific to each student's needs. Track student success using technology and data-driven insights, then make necessary curriculum changes. Remember we can teach that because we are guided by the curriculum and we know the different characteristics of curriculum that make us feel comfortable when we're teaching.

THE CHARACTERISTICS OF A GOOD CURRICULUM

A strong curriculum is a key component of an effective education, acting as a guide for what and how students will study. It must be properly planned to satisfy student requirements and complement educational objectives.

I hope in the near future I'll teach my pupils with a good heart, I hope I can teach them all lesson that need to learn because that's the best gift for me.
